Mary Grace Foundation to Discontinue Operations, but “Race with Grace” to Continue Indefinitely

Dear Supporters of The Mary Grace Foundation,

The Mary Grace Foundation (“MGF”) was formed in 2005 after my wife, Mary, lost her battle with breast cancer. The support we received while she was sick was inspiring.

After she passed, we decided to keep that momentum going to help those less fortunate in their fight against the disease. Since then, the MGF has helped more than 1,100 families and raised more than $1,000,000.

It is amazing what can be accomplished when people come together for a common cause.

The MGF would not have been able to help the families that it has helped without the efforts of many. Thank you to everyone that has supported the Foundation in its 20 years of existence.

After prayerful discernment, we have decided to discontinue operations in 2024. The Board will continue to accept applications and process grants until the funds are depleted. However, the current MGF will not accept future donations.

It’s hard to believe it has been 20 years. What started as a small organization run with friends and family has grown into a movement. Mary is looking down on all of us — and all that has been accomplished by the MGF — with a big smile on her face!

Please note that even though the parent foundation — the Mary Grace Foundation — will discontinue operations, our flagship fundraiser, “Race with Grace,” will continue indefinitely.

The 20th Annual “Race with Grace” is still on and is scheduled for Sunday, September 15, 2024, 9 AM.

The race committee will be announcing a new partnership in the next couple weeks that has similar goals to the MGF. The plan is to continue helping families battling cancer right here in Medina County. Stay tuned!

God bless,
Mike Grace | Founder, Mary Grace Foundation
