Since the spring of 2005, 
we have assisted 75 families in their fight against cancer.

The Mary Grace Memorial Foundation was founded in the spring of 2005 to memorialize Mary, and to raise money for cancer related charities. Mary was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on February 14, 2003. Although she fought valiantly, it was not meant to be, and she passed away on January 8, 2005.  It is our hope that we can help others like Mary fight as courageously as she did.

As of April  12th,  2008 the organization has raised over $123,500.  The foundation has made 75 grants totaling over $66,000. Most of the grant money has been spent to help people battling cancer. The organizations first grant went to a mother of three, in the midst of Chemotherapy. In her application she requested help with rent and clothing. We responded by paying a portion of her rent and providing her with Kohl’s gift certificates. One of our goals is to help families affected by cancer with the basic necessities of life, so they can concentrate on fighting the disease. 

The Mary Grace Memorial Foundation became a legitimate 501 (C) (3) last winter, so donations are tax deductable.  We hope to continue our goal of memorializing Mary and raising money for cancer related charities in 2007 and beyond.

The Mary Grace Memorial Foundation would like to thank the 200 who attended our 3rd Annual Celebrate Life At the Oaks. As we continue to celebrate Mary and all her goodness, someone in our community struggling with cancer will directly benefit from your generosity. The foundation may organize an event to bring lives together, but it is truly you, our friends, co-workers, and our community that are helping those in need. We are merely the facilitators.
